WebDelphes — Community Edition

Monitoring and diagnostics for your Oracle databases, freely available for non-commercial use. Open source code, under the Creative Commons BY-NC-SA 4.0 licence.

The Community Edition brings together the WebDelphes core and the Oracle CE module. It connects to your own Oracle databases — on premises, RAC or cloud — and produces the reports a DBA relies on every day: real-time activity, ASH history, configuration, diagnostics and SQL statement detail.

For now, the Community Edition is limited to the Oracle CE module. The other WebDelphes modules remain reserved to the full edition.

What the Community Edition includes

Area Features
Inventory Oracle databases (EasyConnect, or cloud wallet with TNS alias), groups, subgroups, per-database rights (read-only, DBA dev, DBA)
Real time Instance activity, active sessions, session kill
History ASH overview, heatmaps, minute-by-minute ASH detail
Configuration Parameters, tablespaces and redo logs, SGA / PGA memory, indicators and advisors, alert log, statistics gathering
Diagnostics ORA-01555, ORA-04030, ORA-04031, slowdown
SQL SQL Monitor, SQL detail (plans, load history, plan history, text, related objects), object detail, view analyzer
Dashboards Scheduler (DBMS_SCHEDULER)
Without Diagnostic Pack sw$bash_snapper: PL/SQL ASH sampling and mini-AWR, installed from the interface, for databases without a Diagnostic Pack licence

Features that depend on an Oracle option (Diagnostic Pack, Tuning Pack) are enabled only when the database declares the option: WebDelphes reads CONTROL_MANAGEMENT_PACK_ACCESS and never queries them without it.

Reserved to the full edition

  • Graphical ASH and AWR reports
  • PL/SQL detail, with unwrapping of wrapped sources
  • Full object report
  • Real-time locks
  • Audit trail, restore points, SQL Tuning Advisor configuration
  • Dashboards: RMAN backups, Data Pump exports, licences, statistics, TDE wallets

Move to the full edition without losing anything: it replaces the Community Edition in place — same tables, same roles, same settings. Registered databases, groups and rights are kept.

Installation

  1. Requirements: Linux or Windows, Apache 2.4, Nginx or IIS, PHP 8.2 with the oci8, sqlite3, sodium, mbstring and intl extensions, and Oracle Instant Client 19c or later.
  2. Unzip the archive at the root of the web server and point the web root to mon-appli/.
  3. Give PHP write access to log/ and securite/.
  4. Open the application: tables are created on first access. Log in with admin / admin123, and change this password right away.
  5. Register a first database in Oracle → Databases.

Step-by-step instructions per platform — RHEL/Oracle Linux, Ubuntu/Debian, Windows with Apache, Nginx or IIS — are in the installation guide from the ZIP package. Day-to-day use is described in the Oracle user guide.
